We live in an awesome time and place.
A place and time filled with awesome people.
We believe in these people.
We believe in their goodness in general.
We will be interviewing people throughout our journey that,
we are confident, will reflect that.
Regardless of political, religious or any other differences we as people have,
we are still people.
We still have the same basic needs.
We still long for love, and, long to give love.
That fiber, that connection, is what we will celebrate as we move down the road.
Each of us can meet on that common road at some point.
Whether a bike trail or road, a cafe or library, your place or ours, that place where we realize for all of our differences, we are remarkably similar.
We hope to see you there.
Our awesome page would not be complete without us mentioning a few folks we know already. We can’t possibly mention everyone. Know if you aren’t mentioned it isn’t because you aren’t awesome but purely because our time is limited.
This woman always had a smile to share, encouraging words to offer, and wonderful ideas when we needed them. To our neighbor Mary, you are awesome!
David, Maria, Sarita and Adam. What can we say? We are kindred spirits. You are our family. You are us. We love you. You are awesome.
One family took it upon themselves to help us get going on our trip. They helped organize and pack and so much more. We didn’t ask for their help. They offered, because that’s who they are. Melissa, Anna and especially our wonderful Gina, you are AWESOME!
From our first phone call to JT at 4 Star Cycle to our last goodbye, he was nothing short of AWESOMENESS! His insistence on helping us even when we didn’t think we needed it (but we did!) was timely and very much appreciated. He and the rest of the Hopkins family are the very thing that make our Country great!
